UPS Fail
As someone who has worked for the U.S. Postal Service and in private mailing facilities I can easily say that there was a sorting fail going on here.
My package went from A to B and is currently at C. Clearly it should have been sent from A to C and not from A to B.

An open letter to TMJ
Dear Temporomandibular joint,
I think it is great and all that you hold my jaw onto my skull. You allow me to move the lower half of my face separately from the top of my face. I like that you allow me to chew and swallow food.
Recently you have been mean to me. You pop out of place. You cause swelling and inflammation. Most importantly you cause pain. I do not like pain. Knock it off. I do not want to have to take a ton of ibuprofen every two hours.
Stop causing pain and we can be friends again.
No love,
Chrissy

- The new TSA guidelines
- Loud noises
- Dying

TOMORROW IS FULL.
My schedule is ridiculous tomorrow. I am waking up at 8:30am so I can drive my dad to his eye appointment that is half an hour away. He just had the lens in his eye replaced earlier today, so he needs to get it checked to make sure it is not broken or something. I have no idea how long this will take.
After that, I need to go to Wal-Mart and obtain a card, for it is the Boyfriend's birthday. Adam will be driving up after work. Which means I also need to shower and bake a cake before he gets here around 6:30pm. We will then dinner and eat cake.
After that will be HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS (part 1).
This is all very hard to wrap my head around since I haven't slept since I woke up on Tuesday morning... and it is now Thursday. If that doesn't explain how I feel, this will:

HP Countdown
I am a Harry Potter fan. From the moment I picked up the first book 12 years ago I loved it. While I love the books more than I could ever love the movies, I still go to One week from today the first half of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be out in theaters everywhere. It's count-down time!

The war against fleas
I have cats. Two cats to be exact. Both of them were infested with fleas until this weekend. I went on a CLEAN EVERYTHING frenzy to try to rid my home of the nasty fleas. I washed all the bedding, vacuumed and sprayed anti-flea stuff on the carpets (while the kitties were out, of course), and even washed my cats.
Yes, I washed my CATS. They were not thrilled, but it had to be done. They were walking fleabags.
Yes, I washed my CATS. They were not thrilled, but it had to be done. They were walking fleabags.
I enlisted the help of two of my friends and managed to wash both my cats with no permanent injuries! My mother and I had bought some Name Brand flea and tick killing medicine and after thoroughly washed and dried, it was applied to both cats.
Unlike most flea medicines that will only kill the fleas if they bite your pet, this particular brand kills them just by having them touch my kitties' fur/skin! My cats are now walking anti-flea and anti-tick MACHINES! Muahaha.
Oh, and they are very glad they are allowed to sleep on my bed again. :)
Letter to Rain
Dear Rain,
You are very loud on our metal roof. I have yet to venture very far outside due to your formidable presence, but I assume you have also made everything very wet. This is most unwelcome.
Not only are you wet, you are also cold! You are currently mixing three different physical states of one chemical substance all at once. There are tiny beads of ice mixed in with your liquid drops of water. I understand that you are vital to all [known] forms of life, but could you be less loud on my roof?
Thanks,
Chrissy

Sallie Mae
Sallie Mae, for those who don't know, is one of the biggest lenders for student/education loans in the US. This is how I feel about them right now.

Dos and Don'ts of Trick-or-Treating
Here are some things you should do and not do while Trick-or-Treating.
DO:
1. Wear a costume.
2. Trick-or-Treat with a friend!
3. Carve a Jack-o-Lantern.
4. Say "Trick or Treat" to get candy!
5. Bring a glow stick.
6. Spread out the consumption of your candy to get the most enjoyment out of it.
DON'T:
1. Approach sketchy looking vans with men who offer you candy.
2. Trick or Treat after trick-or-treating hours have ended. The candy will probably be gone by then.
3. Eat all your candy in one night.
Happy Halloween everyone! Have fun and stay safe!!

Pet Peeves
Everyone has them. Pet peeves are those little things that always bother you more than they seem to bother others around you. Here are some of mine.
People who have a long social discussion with a bank teller/cashier/librarian/etc while there is a huge line.
When someone drives EXTREMELY SLOWLY.
When people forget to turn their directionals off for several miles.
When someone doesn't use their directional at all and slams on their breaks to make a turn
When someone is late to a scheduled meeting, call, etc.
Negative political advertisements that attack the opponent and don't even state the views of the candidate.
When people assume I am young because I am short.
Daniel Radcliffe's (aka Harry Potter) eyes are blue, not green. Also, his hair is brown, not black. :(
Other pet peeves include:
- Improper use of their/they're/there
- Improper use of your/you're
- Use of an apostrophe where there shouldn't be one

Bizarro vs. Cellphone
Remember a few weeks ago when I lost my phone? Here's what happened:
This is Bizarro. It used to be called Superman: Ride of Steel until 2009 when they painted it purple and added fire, lights, and fog effects. Bizarro is located at Six Flags: New England. It is an awesome ride that my cellphone and I had been on many times in the past. Unfortunately, this time something different happened.
My naughty cellphone somehow escaped the confines on my pocket (even though it was underneath the seatbelt, and Bizarro does not go upside-down)!
I noticed it was gone as soon as I exited the train. Adam and I were sent to guest relations to fill out a Lost and Found report. We waited until after the park closed and everyone left. The ride operators searched for my phone while we continuously called it from Adam's phone. No luck. They were unable to recover the phone. It rained that night, and all my hopes for getting my phone back were lost. :(
But this week, something amazing happened! A very lumpy envelope arrived at my house from SFNE. It was my phone! It is completely functional and the only damage I have noticed is a tiny scuff mark on the side of the blue case. There aren't even scratches on the screen! Yay! :-)

My stay at the Hyatt Harborside
I've been unable to write lengthy (read: good) posts because I have been (and still am) away from home!
On Tuesday I had an interview in Boston, MA and stayed the night with my Aunt who was there on business. She had a really fancy hotel room near the airport. I took some lovely pictures for you so you have something to look at until I get home on Friday.
I won't be home until late tonight or Friday because I have another interview today! I might put up more pictures that I took at the hotel while I am away, though. Look forward to an awesome Halloween post this weekend. :)

Stress!
There probably won't be a very long post today or tomorrow: I am very stressed out.
Hopefully I will be able to come up with something better later today/tomorrow.
I have a really good post for Halloween, so look forward to that soon!

Catherine's Meme
1) Cats or Dogs? If you had to pick one, which would it be, and why?
I have already clearly answered this question. But here is a video of my awesome kitty anyway.
2) What is the best dinosaur ever? Why?
Compys. They are tiny and when they bite you they insert a tranquilizer into your blood so it doesn't hurt when they eat you!
3) What is the best dessert ever?
Apple Crisp with ice cream.
4) If you could build a bridge to the moon, what material would you use?
Glass! that way you could look out all the stars
5) Beef or Chicken?
Chicken!
6) If you could have ONE super power, what would it be?
Invisibility :)
7) What is one of your most guilty pleasures?
I have no idea.
8) Pie or Cake?
Cake!
I don't have 8 people to tag, so if you are reading this, I tag you!
Edit: Apparently I was supposed to ask 8 new questions...
1. What is your favorite color?
2. If you could be any element, what would you be?
3. What is your favorite kitchen utensil?
4. How do you picture yourself in 5 years?
5. What game could you play for hours without getting bored?
6. What is your favorite animal?
7. Are you: introverted or extroverted?
8. Do you have a dream job?

How Adam became my knight in "shining armor"
One day I was walking down the sidewalk on my way to meet someone.
Across the street, my boyfriend of less than two weeks noticed me and saw that I was about to walk in front of a moving car!
He freaked out and ran across the street.
...and pushed me out of harm's way.
I explained to him that it was Wednesday, and on Wednesday I go out for dinner. With my Aunt. In her blue car.
And that is how Adam met Auntie for the first time. :)
