- Please use blue or blank ink. Other colors are hard to read and sometimes don't show up when scanned into a computer. DO NOT USE RED or PINK!
- PLEASE PRINT on the "Pay to the order of..." line and the legal line (the one where you write out in words how much you want to give to someone). I can't read your beautiful cursive that you learned 50 years ago in grade school. Your T's look like J's.
- PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE either of the two aforementioned lines blank. EVER.
- Make sure you know who you are writing the check to.
- PLEASE sign your checks.
- If there is no way to make your chicken-scratch handwriting legible, please use Microsoft office (or something similar) and a printer to print your check.
- The only line that can ever be left blank is the memo line. This is a note to yourself or to the person you are writing the check to.
